CONFIRMED
A PS5 game really is shutting down on November 25, but it is Destruction AllStars, Sony’s 2021 vehicular combat game, not a 2023 console-exclusive RPG. PlayStation’s official support pages confirm that server support for Destruction AllStars ends on 25 November 2026. The RPG claim mixes in a separate story about VR game Zenith: Nexus, which PlayStation LifeStyle reports closes on December 18.
What we know
PlayStation’s official “Support for games you can play online” page says single-player modes in Destruction AllStars stay accessible to existing users until Wednesday 25 November 2026. On that date, all server support for the game shuts down and the remaining game services go offline.
PlayStation’s Important Notice page gives the cutoff as 25 November 2026 at 15:00 UTC. That page also says Arcade Mode single-player challenges will stay playable for returning players after the shutdown. PlayStation warns that functionality and player experience may be affected once the servers are gone.
Destruction Points, the game’s virtual currency, can be redeemed in single-player modes until the cutoff. The two official pages disagree on the time. The Important Notice page lists 00:00 UTC on 25 November, while the game-server page lists 15:00 UTC on the same date.
The game itself is no longer for sale. PlayStation’s Important Notice page confirms that Destruction AllStars and Destruction Points were removed from the PlayStation Store on 26 May 2026 at 14:00 UTC. The same page says PS5 multiplayer services remain offline because of ongoing technical issues. Some coverage, including a Comic Book Resources report, framed November as the point the game “will be delisted.” PlayStation’s own notice shows the delisting happened back in May. November 25 is the end of server support and currency redemption.
For context, Destruction AllStars was developed by Lucid Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It launched on PS5 on February 2, 2021. It is a car combat game, not an RPG, and not a 2023 release.
The RPG story is real but separate. PSLS reports that Zenith: Nexus’s paid DLC and premium currency have already been pulled from sale, while the game was still downloadable from the PS Store at the time of its report.
What we don’t know yet
PlayStation has not explained why its two support pages give different UTC times for the Destruction Points cutoff. Until that is cleared up, the earlier 00:00 UTC time is the one to plan around.
PlayStation also has not detailed exactly which Arcade Mode features may break or behave differently after November 25.
Sources disagree on who publishes Zenith: Nexus: PSLS names TribeVR, while other outlets name developer Ramen VR. PSLS’s description of Zenith as a 2023 PS5 console exclusive has not been independently verified, and other coverage describes it as a multiplatform VR game.
What it means
If you own Destruction AllStars, act before November 25. Spend any leftover Destruction Points before 00:00 UTC on 25 November, which lands on the evening of November 24 for players in the Americas. Waiting for the later 15:00 UTC time risks losing your currency if the earlier time turns out to be correct.
Play through any single-player content you care about now, too. PlayStation says Arcade Mode challenges should survive the shutdown, but it is not promising they will work the same way.
You cannot pick up the game if you missed it. It has been off the PS Store since May, and multiplayer has been down for months.
If you saw the “2023 RPG closing November 25” headline and panicked about something else in your library, the RPG in question is Zenith: Nexus, and PlayStation LifeStyle reports its end date as December 18, 2026. It is a different game on a different date.
