CONFIRMED
The last three PS Plus Extra games for October are now live in the UK, USA and Japan, Push Square reports, completing a nine-game Extra and Premium catalog for the month. Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2, Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn Edition and Monster Energy Supercross 25 joined the service on October 27. Here is the full lineup, which tier gets what, and when each game arrived.
What we know
According to Push Square, which reported the schedule PlayStation announced, the final October Extra batch became available to download on October 27, 2026 for subscribers in the UK, USA and Japan:
- Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2 (PS5)
- Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn Edition (PS5, PS4)
- Monster Energy Supercross 25: The Official Video Game (PS5)
Players everywhere else got these three a week earlier. Push Square describes this as part of Sony’s staggered rollout experiment.
Sony announced the full October lineup on the PlayStation Blog, as Push Square reported. It splits by tier like this:
PS Plus Extra (seven games): Mafia: The Old Country, Horizon Forbidden West, Mycopunk, Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2, The Midnight Walk, Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn Edition and Monster Energy Supercross 25.
PS Plus Premium, Classics (two games): Dino Crisis 2 and RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Complete Edition.
Push Square’s reporting of the announced schedule puts the release order as follows. The Midnight Walk came first, on October 14 in the US and UK and October 15 in Japan. Mafia: The Old Country, Horizon Forbidden West, Mycopunk, Dino Crisis 2 and RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Complete Edition followed worldwide on October 20. The final three titles arrived on October 27 in the US, UK and Japan.
Premium members get a bit more. GameSpot reports that Game Trials for Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy and Mortal Shell 2 have been available to Premium subscribers since October 20, 2026.
The monthly games are a separate perk. GameSpot reports that all PS Plus members can still claim F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896 and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 until November 2, 2026.
What we don’t know yet
The Midnight Walk’s exact date depends on the source. Outlets list either October 14 or October 15 for the US and UK, likely because of region and time zone differences. The game is available now either way, but the PlayStation Blog is the place to check the precise date.
Dino Crisis 2’s platform label is also unclear. Push Square lists it as a PS1 title, while other outlets list it as PS4/PS5. We have not seen the PlayStation Blog listing confirm either version, so we are not picking one here.
November is still a blank. Push Square says the November 2026 PS Plus Essential announcement is scheduled for October 28, 2026. Sony has not revealed the November Extra and Premium catalog, and it has not said whether the regional staggered rollout will continue past this month.
What it means
The biggest change this year is the release format. Game Rant reports that Sony ended its single monthly catalog drop in June 2026 and now adds Extra and Premium games in smaller staggered batches. October follows that model, and Push Square’s September final-wave coverage described the same pattern, so expect drip-fed catalog additions rather than one big day.
For Extra subscribers, Mafia: The Old Country and Horizon Forbidden West stand out. If Horizon looks familiar, that is because it has been on the service before. Game Rant notes it was in the catalog from February 2023 to September 2024, so returning players can pick up where they left off.
Premium subscribers get two Classics in Dino Crisis 2 and RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Complete Edition, plus the two Game Trials. If you were weighing whether to step up from Extra, October’s Premium extras are modest.
One deadline matters regardless of tier. F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896 and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 leave the monthly games slot after November 2, per GameSpot. Add them to your library before then, even if you do not plan to play them yet. The November Essential lineup should follow on October 28.
