CONFIRMED

Next week is a big one for PS5 owners. Push Square’s weekly release guide covers more than 45 PS5 and PS Plus games launching between 26 October and 1 November 2026, with S-GAME’s action game Phantom Blade Zero at the top of the list on 29 October. Push Square also says a late addition, Devolver Digital’s survival horror RPG Look Outside, is a must-play.

What we know

Push Square editor Sammy Barker says this week’s guide is the biggest update he has put together since the series began. It covers more than 45 PS5 and PS Plus releases across the seven days.

The headliner is Phantom Blade Zero from Chinese developer S-GAME. Push Square calls it “unquestionably” the biggest new game of the week and lists it for 29 October. That date comes straight from the studio. S-GAME’s CEO announced on 2 June 2026, through the game’s official X account, that launch was moving from 9 September to 29 October. Gematsu reported the change independently. The game launches on PS5 and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store.

If you still see 9 September in older articles or database listings, that date is out of date. Phantom Blade Zero originally got that date at The Game Awards in December 2025, according to Game Informer. The June statement replaced it.

The late addition is Look Outside. Push Square says it was added after the guide was finished and calls it a must-play. Devolver Digital is publishing the game and Francis Coulombe is developing it. Gematsu reported the companies’ announcement that it launches on PS5, PS4, Switch 2 and Switch on 30 October. It first released on PC via Steam on 21 March 2025, and Push Square notes it holds an 83 Metacritic average there.

The rest of the week opens with smaller releases. Push Square’s guide lists these dates:

  • 26 October: Fangtopia, Hunter’s Moon
  • 27 October: Dog Man: Bark in Action, Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy, The Seance of Blake Manor, Village in the Shade
  • 29 October: Phantom Blade Zero
  • 30 October: Look Outside

Push Square’s headline also names The Wolf Among Us Remastered and STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT as highlights of the week.

What we don’t know yet

We have not seen the full list of 45+ titles, so we are not giving an exact count or a complete schedule here. We also don’t have exact release days for The Wolf Among Us Remastered and STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT, beyond Push Square placing them in this window. Check the full guide or the PlayStation Store listings before you plan around them.

The PS Plus side of the guide is also unclear from what we have reviewed. We can’t yet tell you which PS Plus games are part of this week’s count.

On Phantom Blade Zero, S-GAME said in June that pre-orders would open over the summer and a dedicated State of Play would follow. We have no details from those beats to report here.

What it means

For most players this comes down to two dates. Phantom Blade Zero on 29 October is the big new action release. Look Outside on 30 October is the safer bet if you want something with an established reputation, given its PC Metacritic score. If horror is your thing, Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy and The Seance of Blake Manor on 27 October give you options earlier in the week.

Phantom Blade Zero also matters beyond its own launch. Push Square reports that Sony is running a big marketing push for it in China, similar to its earlier campaign for Black Myth: Wukong. That suggests Sony sees it as another possible breakout from a Chinese studio.

This week also fits a crowded season. Push Square has described autumn 2026 as one of the most packed periods for PS5 releases, with Marvel’s Wolverine on 15 September and Control Resonant and Silent Hill: Townfall on 24 September. Its upcoming-games tracker also lists GTA 6 for 19 November. With that much competing for your time and money, a late October slot gives Phantom Blade Zero a few weeks of breathing room before the November rush.
