The PS Plus Essential games for November 2026 should be announced on the PlayStation Blog on Wednesday 28 October 2026. They should go live for members on Tuesday 3 November and stay claimable until the December refresh on Tuesday 1 December. This page separates what Sony has confirmed from what leakers claim and from our own clearly labelled predictions, so you know which parts you can plan around.

What is confirmed for PS Plus November 2026, and what isn’t

Sony does not announce its reveal dates in advance. The calendar below comes from the pattern Sony Interactive Entertainment has followed for the monthly games since the PlayStation Plus revamp in June 2022. The pattern has held closely enough that most players and outlets treat it as reliable, but it is still a pattern and not a promise. As of our last check, Sony had not named any November 2026 Essential game. We also had not seen a lineup leak from a source with a proven record that we could verify.

Item Status What we know
Reveal date Expected, not announced Wednesday 28 October 2026, the last Wednesday of October
Go-live date Expected, not announced Tuesday 3 November 2026, the first Tuesday of November
Claim window ends Expected December games replace them on Tuesday 1 December 2026
November game titles Unconfirmed No official announcement at time of writing
Credible leak None verified No lineup leak from a proven source that we could confirm
October 2026 games leaving Confirmed by pattern October’s Essential trio rotates out when November’s arrive
Extra and Premium November additions Expected mid-month Reveal usually on a Wednesday, added the following Tuesday

Keep that table in mind as you read the rest of this guide. Everything in the “predictions” section is our editorial judgement and nothing more. Everything in the “leaks” section is graded by how much the source has earned your trust.

November 2026 reveal date and time

Sony announces the Essential monthly games on the last Wednesday of the preceding month. In 2026, October 28 is the last Wednesday of October, so that is the day to watch. The post normally appears on the PlayStation Blog. It goes out on the official PlayStation accounts on X, Instagram and other social channels at the same time. The PS5 home screen and the PlayStation App usually show promotional artwork a little later.

Why the time could look an hour off this year

The PlayStation Blog has historically published the Essential reveal in the late afternoon UK time, which lands in the morning for North America. In late October and early November, Europe and North America change their clocks on different weekends. That briefly shifts the usual gap between UK time and US time.

In 2026, the UK leaves British Summer Time on Sunday 25 October. The US does not leave daylight saving time until Sunday 1 November. On reveal day, the UK will be on GMT while the US Pacific and Eastern zones are still on summer time. That makes the gap seven hours to the West Coast instead of the usual eight. If Sony keeps its usual UK posting slot, North American readers will see the post an hour later on the clock than they are used to. If Sony keeps its usual US slot, UK readers will see it an hour earlier.

Either way, you only need to check the PlayStation Blog in the afternoon on 28 October if you are in Europe, or mid-morning if you are in the Americas. Do not assume the post is late because it hasn’t appeared at your normal time.

Where to watch for the official post

You have three places that count as official confirmation. Anything else is a leak or a rumor until one of these lines up with it.

  • The PlayStation Blog. Sony posts a dedicated article for the monthly games with trailers and a short description of each title. The image header usually shows all three games together.
  • Official PlayStation social accounts. The main @PlayStation account and regional accounts post the lineup within minutes of the blog.
  • The PlayStation Store and PS Plus hub. The games appear in the Monthly Games section when they go live on 3 November. Before then, the store will not let you claim them.

When the November games go live and how long you have

PS Plus November 2026 Key Dates Timeline

If Sony follows its pattern, the November 2026 Essential games become available on Tuesday 3 November. They stay in the Monthly Games row until the December lineup replaces them on Tuesday 1 December. That gives you four weeks to claim them. Treat Monday 30 November as your safe last day, because the refresh tends to happen during the day on Tuesday and you do not want to cut it fine.

You do not need to download a game to keep access to it. Adding it to your library is enough. You can then install and play it any time later, as long as your PS Plus membership stays active at Essential, Extra or Premium.

Quick steps: claim the November 2026 Essential games on PS5

  1. On the PS5 home screen, open the Games home and select the PlayStation Plus tile.
  2. Open the Monthly Games section.
  3. Select a November game and choose Add to Library.
  4. Repeat for each game, including the PS4 and PS5 versions if both are offered.
  5. Check Game Library > Your Collection to confirm each game is listed.

Claiming on PS4, the PlayStation App or a web browser

On PS4, open the PlayStation Plus app from your library or go through the PlayStation Store, then select the monthly game and add it to your library. On your phone, open the PlayStation App, go to the PlayStation Store, find the game under PS Plus and add it to your library. The web version of the PlayStation Store works the same way when you sign in with your PlayStation Network account. A claim made on any of these counts on every console linked to your account.

Player tip

Claim every monthly game through the PlayStation App on day one, even ones you have no plans to play. Claiming costs nothing, and a game you skip in November can still be in your library years later if your membership stays active.

PS4 and PS5 versions: claim both

Many monthly games come with a PS4 version and a PS5 version, and you may have to add each one separately. PS4 games run on PS5 through backward compatibility, and PS5 versions do not run on PS4 at all. If you play on a standard PS5, a PS5 Slim or a PS5 Pro, the PS5 version is usually the one you want. It tends to look better and load faster. On PS5 Pro, it may also include Pro Enhanced settings if the developer patched them in. PS4 owners who plan to upgrade should still claim the PS5 version now, because it will not be offered again once the month ends.

Heads up

Monthly games stay playable only while your PS Plus membership is active. If your subscription lapses, the games stay in your library but lock until you resubscribe, and your saves remain on the console or in cloud storage.

Games leaving PS Plus Essential in November 2026

Essential works differently from the Extra and Premium Game Catalog. Monthly games do not “leave” the way catalog games do. Once you have claimed a monthly game, it stays in your library for as long as you keep paying for PS Plus. What disappears is the chance to claim it.

This means the three October 2026 Essential games currently in your Monthly Games row stop being claimable when the November games arrive on Tuesday 3 November. If you have not added them to your library yet, do it before the end of Monday 2 November. Once they rotate out, you would have to buy them separately or hope they come to the Extra catalog later.

Extra and Premium games leaving in November

The Extra and Premium Game Catalog is where games truly leave. Sony flags upcoming departures in a “Last Chance to Play” collection in the PlayStation Store about a month before they go. Outlets such as Push Square and PlayStation LifeStyle usually publish the list as soon as it appears. Catalog departures generally coincide with the monthly Extra drop, which in recent years has landed on the third Tuesday of the month.

In November 2026, that points to Tuesday 17 November for both the new Extra additions and the outgoing games. If you are partway through a catalog game marked as leaving, finish it before then or buy it. Your saves and trophies stay on your account even after the game itself locks.

November 2026 leaks: what credible sources have said

At the time of writing, we had not seen a November 2026 Essential lineup leak that we could verify from a source with a proven record. That matches the usual timeline. The most reliable leaks for this lineup have historically surfaced in the final few days before Sony’s own announcement, not weeks ahead. If a source claims to know the November lineup in early October, be sceptical.

We update this page when a leak appears. We label every claim with the source and how much weight it deserves. A leak only becomes confirmed when Sony publishes it on the PlayStation Blog or adds the games to the PS Plus hub.

The sources worth watching, graded

Source Reliability grade Record on Essential lineups How we phrase it
PlayStation Blog and official PlayStation accounts Official The final word “Sony has confirmed”
billbil-kun via Dealabs Proven reporter Has accurately revealed many Essential lineups ahead of Sony, usually days before the official post “RUMOR: billbil-kun, a reporter with a strong track record, reports”
PlayStation Game Size and similar datamine accounts Community or datamine Reliable on file sizes and store data, usually hours before or around the reveal “Store data spotted by a datamine account suggests”
Accidental early store listings Official but unintended Rare, but real when they happen “A PlayStation Store listing that went live early shows”
Anonymous forum posts and unverified social accounts Anonymous or mixed record Hit and miss, often recycled wishlists “An anonymous poster with no track record claims”

billbil-kun and Dealabs. The French deals site Dealabs publishes leaks from billbil-kun. This source has built a strong record on PlayStation Plus Essential lineups, and on game release dates and prices more broadly. When a billbil-kun leak appears, it has usually matched Sony’s announcement closely. We still label it as a rumor until Sony confirms it, because no leaker is right every time. Lineups also change late on occasion.

Datamine and store-tracking accounts. Accounts that track PlayStation Store backend changes sometimes spot a monthly game’s files, icons or entitlement data shortly before the reveal. They are good at confirming that something is coming. They are weaker at explaining which tier it belongs to or exactly when it arrives.

Anonymous claims. Every month, image boards, forums and reply threads fill with “insider” lineups. Most are guesses dressed up as leaks, built from the same wishlist logic you will find in our predictions below. If a post cannot point to a track record, treat it as a prediction with extra confidence attached.

How to read a PS Plus leak without getting burned

A few red flags separate a likely-real leak from a fake one, and they come up every month.

  • Timing. Credible Essential leaks tend to land within a week of the reveal. A “full lineup” posted three or four weeks early is almost always a guess.
  • Too many headliners. Essential lineups usually mix one bigger game with smaller or older titles. A leak listing three recent, full-price blockbusters should make you suspicious.
  • Mocked-up images. Fake leaks often come with a doctored image styled like Sony’s promotional artwork. A real leak from a proven reporter does not depend on artwork to be believed.
  • Mixing tiers. A leak that blends Essential monthly games with Extra catalog titles usually comes from someone who doesn’t follow how the service works.

We do not reproduce leaked store assets or point you to anything that was not meant to be public. We report what reputable outlets and proven reporters say, name them, and update when Sony confirms or contradicts it.

What past November lineups tell us

Sony rarely explains how it picks the monthly games, but recent lineups show habits that help narrow the field. Our predictions rely on those habits. You can use them to judge any leak that appears before 28 October.

The November 2024 lineup is a useful reference point. It included Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged, a racing game, and Ghostwire: Tokyo, an action game developed by Tango Gameworks and published by Bethesda. It also included Death Note Killer Within, a social deduction game that launched straight into PS Plus as a day-one release. That mix of a familiar genre game, a recognisable action title and a brand-new multiplayer release is what we expect Sony to aim for again.

Patterns we use for predictions

  • One headline game, usually a year or more old. Essential headliners tend to be well-known titles that have already done most of their full-price sales.
  • A multiplayer or co-op pick. Online play is the core Essential benefit. Sony often includes a game that gives members a reason to stay subscribed and play with friends.
  • A genre balance. Racing, sports, action and indie games come up again and again, and the lineup rarely has three games of the same type.
  • Occasional day-one launches. Death Note Killer Within showed that Sony will use November for a new multiplayer release that benefits from a large player base on day one.
  • Fewer PS4-only games. The longer the PS5 generation runs, the more lineups lean on PS5 versions. Many games still come with PS4 versions as well.

The November release calendar matters

November is crowded with big releases every year, and 2026 adds Grand Theft Auto VI, which Rockstar has scheduled for 19 November. We are not expecting it to affect the Essential lineup directly, and GTA 6 will not be a PS Plus game. It does make November a month where many players have less free time and storage, which favours shorter, easy-to-pick-up monthly games over 100-hour epics.

Our predictions for PS Plus Essential November 2026

Everything in this section is a prediction from PSX Online. None of it comes from a leak or from Sony. We picked games that match the patterns above: old enough to have done most of their full-price sales, well-known enough to headline a month, and a good fit for the multiplayer and genre balance Sony likes. If a credible leak or the official reveal contradicts these, the leak or reveal wins.

One caveat applies to every pick. Games move into Extra or onto deep discount without much warning. If any of these joins the Extra catalog before the reveal, cross it off.

Our pick (prediction) Genre Why it fits Our confidence
Rise of the Ronin Open-world action Sony-published PS5 game, released March 2024 Low to medium
Split Fiction Co-op action adventure Co-op focus suits the Essential multiplayer pitch Low
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Racing Fills the racing slot, about a year old by November Low
Dragon’s Dogma 2 Action RPG Big-name 2024 release, well past launch pricing Low
Stellar Blade Action Sony-published PS5 hit from 2024 Long shot

Rise of the Ronin

Rise of the Ronin is our top pick to headline November. It was developed by Team Ninja and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment as a PS5 console exclusive in March 2024, before arriving on PC in March 2025. It is an open-world action game set in Japan in the 1860s. It has a combat system clearly related to Team Ninja’s Nioh games and co-op for story missions.

It fits the headliner profile well. It is a Sony-published game more than two years past launch, so it will have done most of its full-price business. It also has a world big enough to keep you busy through the winter. Sony has used older first-party and published games as monthly highlights before. The co-op element also gives it an online hook that suits the Essential pitch.

Our confidence is low to medium. What would change our mind is if Sony instead moves it into the Extra catalog, which is often where its own older games end up.

Split Fiction

Split Fiction is the co-op pick we would most like to see. Hazelight Studios developed it and Electronic Arts published it on 6 March 2025 for PS5. Like It Takes Two, it is built entirely around two-player co-op, online or on the same screen. A Friend’s Pass system lets a second player join without owning the game.

A co-op game like this is an easy sell for Essential, because online play is the main reason many people subscribe. EA has also worked with Sony on monthly games before. EA Sports FC 24 headlined the May 2024 Essential lineup. The holiday timing helps too: November and December are when many players have family or friends around for couch co-op.

Our confidence is low. Split Fiction was a major 2025 release, and EA may prefer to keep selling it at full price or save it for the Extra catalog.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds

Racing games have appeared regularly in Essential, Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 in November 2024 among them. Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is our guess for that slot. Sega launched it on 25 September 2025 on PS5 and PS4, so it will be just over a year old by November 2026. Its Travel Rings shift races between different worlds mid-lap, and it supports online play with crossplay.

A kart racer with a recognisable character also covers the family-friendly slot that often appears in holiday lineups. It is short-session, so it fits a month when many players are busy with bigger releases.

Our confidence is low. Sega may wait longer before offering it through PS Plus, and Sony could pick a different racing game or skip the genre this month.

Dragon’s Dogma 2

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is the big-name RPG on our list. Capcom released it on 22 March 2024, built on its RE Engine. It is a single-player action RPG with the series’ Pawn companion system, where AI companions created by other players can join your party.

It fits the headliner profile because it was a high-profile launch that is now well past its launch window. Capcom has kept selling its back catalogue for years, and a monthly games appearance can lift sales of DLC and future games.

Our confidence is low. Its scale and single-player focus make it a slightly odd fit for a busy November, but Sony has never stuck rigidly to genre logic.

Stellar Blade (long shot)

Stellar Blade is our long shot. Shift Up developed it and Sony Interactive Entertainment published it on PS5 on 26 April 2024, with a PC version in June 2025. It is a fast, combo-heavy action game with a post-apocalyptic setting, and it sold well for a new IP.

It is a long shot because Sony has more reason to keep selling a successful published game than to give it away. It is also more likely to land in the Extra catalog if it joins PS Plus at all. We include it because Sony has surprised players with recent first-party and published titles before.

The day-one wildcard

We expect at least a chance of a day-one release, as with Death Note Killer Within in November 2024. These are usually smaller multiplayer or indie games that benefit from launching with a large player base. We cannot predict a specific title, because Sony and publishers usually keep day-one deals quiet until the reveal. If a credible leak names a game you have never heard of, a day-one launch is often the reason.

PS Plus tiers compared: what each one gets you in November

Essential is the entry tier, and it is the only tier this page is mostly about. Extra and Premium include everything in Essential, so if you subscribe to either of them, you get the November monthly games too. The table below covers the main benefits of each tier, so you can judge whether an upgrade is worth it for the holiday period.

Online multiplayer Yes Yes Yes
Cloud storage for saves Yes Yes Yes
Member discounts on the PlayStation Store Yes Yes Yes

Prices to check before you renew

In September 2023, Sony set its US 12-month prices at $79.99 for Essential, $134.99 for Extra and $159.99 for Premium. UK prices were set at £59.99, £99.99 and £119.99, and euro-zone prices at €71.99, €125.99 and €151.99. Regional pricing has shifted in some markets since then, and Sony runs promotions at different times. Check the current price in the PlayStation Store for your region before you commit, and do not rely on any older price list, including this one.

You can check your current plan, renewal date and auto-renew status on PS5 at Settings > Users and Accounts > Account > Payment and Subscriptions > Subscriptions.

Should you renew or upgrade before November?

November is a sensible month to sort out your membership. The monthly games arrive on 3 November, and Black Friday falls on 27 November 2026. Sony has run PS Plus promotions around Black Friday in recent years, often aimed at 12-month memberships. If your renewal is due in October or early November, it can be worth comparing the price with any Black Friday deal before you let auto-renew run.

A few practical points help you avoid losing money or access:

  • Do not let your membership lapse to wait for a deal. Your claimed monthly games lock while you are not subscribed, and you cannot claim November’s games without an active membership.
  • Check how upgrades are priced. Upgrading partway through a membership is usually priced against the time you have left, so the cost depends on your renewal date.
  • Keep an eye on big purchases. The holiday season comes with heavy spending, and many players are already budgeting for the next generation. If you are saving, our ps6 price speculation coverage shows why next-generation hardware may be expensive, and our PlayStation 6 rumors guide covers what is known so far.

If you mainly use PS Plus for online multiplayer and the monthly games, Essential is enough. Extra is worth it if you play a lot of different games and want the full catalog. Premium makes the most sense if you specifically want Classics, game trials or cloud streaming.

Common problems claiming PS Plus monthly games

Most claiming problems come down to the subscription, the account or the console license. The fixes below cover the issues we see most often after a monthly refresh.

Problem Likely cause Fix
The game is not in the Monthly Games row on 3 November The refresh has not happened yet in your region Wait a few hours and check the PlayStation Blog for confirmation that the games are live
“Add to Library” is missing You are signed into the wrong account or your membership has lapsed Check Settings > Users and Accounts > Account > Payment and Subscriptions > Subscriptions
The game is in your library but will not launch License not synced to the console Go to Settings > Users and Accounts > Other > Restore Licenses
Only the PS4 version shows up The PS5 version is a separate entry Return to the Monthly Games row and add the PS5 version too
A child account cannot download the game Age rating or Family Management restrictions Adjust the child’s restrictions in Family Management or claim the game on a parent account
The download is stuck or very slow Storage full or network issue Free up space, then check your connection in Settings > Network
A game is listed in another region but not yours Occasional regional differences Check your region’s PlayStation Blog post or store page for the official lineup

Regional differences are rare, but they do happen when a rating or licensing issue affects one market. When it does, Sony usually notes the change in the relevant regional blog or store listing. If a game is missing in your region and the blog does not mention a swap, contact PlayStation Support.

FAQ

When are the PS Plus November 2026 games announced?

We expect Sony to reveal them on the PlayStation Blog on Wednesday 28 October 2026, the last Wednesday of October. Sony has not announced the date in advance. The expectation comes from the pattern Sony has followed for its monthly games since the 2022 PS Plus revamp.

When can you download the November 2026 Essential games?

They should go live on Tuesday 3 November 2026 and stay claimable until the December lineup arrives on Tuesday 1 December. Add them to your library before the end of Monday 30 November to be safe.

Do you keep the games after November ends?

You keep them in your library permanently, but you can only play them while you have an active Essential, Extra or Premium membership. If your subscription lapses, they lock until you resubscribe.

Has the November 2026 lineup leaked?

At the time of writing, we had not seen a verified lineup leak from a source with a proven record. The most reliable Essential leaks, notably from billbil-kun via Dealabs, usually arrive in the last few days before the official reveal. We treat any leak as a rumor until Sony confirms it.

Which games are leaving PS Plus Essential in November 2026?

The October 2026 Essential games stop being claimable when the November games arrive on 3 November. If you already claimed them, they stay in your library. For Extra and Premium, check the Last Chance to Play collection in the PlayStation Store for catalog games leaving on the November catalog refresh, expected on Tuesday 17 November.

Do you need a PS5 to play the November games?

No. Many monthly games include PS4 versions, and PS4 games also run on PS5. Some monthly games are PS5-only, though, so PS4 owners occasionally miss out on a title in a given month.

Will GTA 6 be on PS Plus in November 2026?

No. Rockstar has scheduled Grand Theft Auto VI for 19 November 2026 as a full-price release. There is no sign it will join PS Plus at any tier.
