PSX Online is an independent PlayStation site built around one goal: helping you get more out of your console with clear guides and honest news. We cover the PS5 and PS5 Pro, PlayStation Plus, trophies, new releases and the history behind it all, and we tell you exactly how solid every piece of news is.

What We Cover

Our coverage stays focused on PlayStation, so everything here is written with PlayStation owners in mind.

  • PS5 and PS5 Pro help. Setup, settings, storage, controller issues, performance modes and the everyday problems that send people searching for answers.
  • PlayStation Plus. The monthly games for each tier, plus what’s joining and leaving the Game Catalog so you can play something before it disappears.
  • Trophy and game guides. Walkthroughs, collectible locations, missable trophies, and the glitches, secrets and unlock tricks that live inside the games themselves.
  • New PS5 releases every week. A regular rundown of what’s launching, so you can plan your backlog and your budget.
  • PlayStation history. The consoles, games and moments that shaped the brand, from the original PlayStation onward.

News You Can Trust at a Glance

PlayStation news moves fast, and a lot of it starts as rumor. Instead of presenting everything with the same weight, we label our news stories clearly:

Label What it means
CONFIRMED Officially announced or verified through an official source.
RUMOR Reported but not confirmed. We explain where the claim comes from and how reliable that source has been.
DEBUNKED Shown to be false, or contradicted by official information.

When a story is a rumor, we say who is behind it in plain terms. An official statement, a reporter with a proven record, a datamine, and an anonymous account with a mixed history are very different things, and our wording reflects that. When a rumor gets confirmed or falls apart, we update the label.

Our Trackers

Some topics change week to week, so we keep running trackers instead of scattering updates across dozens of posts.

  • PS6 tracker. Everything known and rumored about the next PlayStation console, with each item labelled by status.
  • PS Plus tracker. Monthly games, catalog additions and departures in one place.
  • State of Play tracker. Showcase dates, announcements and what was revealed.

What We Don’t Do

Some lines we hold no matter what.

  • No jailbreaks or piracy. We never cover console jailbreaks, pirated games or ways around PlayStation’s protections.
  • No leaked material. We report on what reputable outlets say about a leak. We don’t host, embed or point you toward stolen footage, builds or files.
  • No cheat tools. When we write about “hacks”, we mean in-game exploits and secrets. We don’t recommend trainers, mod menus or third-party downloads that can put your account or your system at risk.
  • No guessing about leakers. We won’t speculate about the real identity of anonymous sources.

Independent and Unaffiliated

PSX Online is an independent site. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Sony Interactive Entertainment, and we have no connection to any other PlayStation website. PlayStation, PS5 and related names are trademarks of their respective owners.

How We Work

We’re a new site, and we’d rather earn your trust than ask for it. That means checking facts before publishing, keeping guides current when games and system software change, and correcting mistakes when we find them. If a guide is wrong or a piece of news has moved on, we fix it.

Who writes here

These are the people behind PSX Online’s guides and news, plus the editor who fact-checks every article before it is published.

Callum Reid

Callum covers PlayStation news for PSX Online: system updates, hardware, PS5 models and everything known so far about PS6. He separates what Sony has confirmed from what is still a rumor or a report, and labels each one. Read Callum’s articles

Sofia Brandt

Sofia writes about PS5 games, new releases and PlayStation Plus: what is coming out this week, what joins and leaves the catalog, and which PlayStation Store deals are worth a look. She is happiest with a long story game and a full backlog. Read Sofia’s articles

Dev Malhotra

Dev looks after retro PlayStation and our how-to guides, from the PS Vita and older consoles to fixes for common PS5 problems. He likes old hardware that still has a community around it. Read Dev’s articles

Harriet Vance, Standards Editor

Harriet is PSX Online’s standards editor. Every article goes through her fact-check pass before it goes live: release dates, prices, PS Plus lineups and patch notes are checked against Sony’s own announcements and the outlets we cite, and anything unconfirmed is labeled or removed.
