Conan Exiles Enhanced and Aloft hit PS5 in early 2027, upgrade free for PS4 owners

CONFIRMED

Funcom has confirmed two PS5 releases for early 2027: Conan Exiles Enhanced and the console debut of Aloft. The announcement came in a Funcom post on the official PlayStation Blog on October 27, 2026, and it confirms that PS4 owners of Conan Exiles get the PS5 upgrade at no extra cost. That free upgrade covers Conan Exiles only. Aloft has never been on PS4 and arrives on PlayStation fresh.

What we know

The news comes from a post by Jarle Hrafn Grindhaug, Communications Manager at Funcom, published on the PlayStation Blog. This is a publisher announcement hosted by PlayStation rather than a statement from Sony itself. The post also notes that Funcom had just released Dune: Awakening on PS5.

Conan Exiles Enhanced is the bigger story for existing players. According to Funcom’s PlayStation Blog post, the Enhanced version brings improved environments, characters, lighting and effects, along with a redesigned UI and a round of performance and quality-of-life improvements. It also makes moving between the Exiled Lands and the Isle of Siptah expansion smoother.

The German edition of the PlayStation Blog post, also from Funcom, confirms that owners of the PS4 version get the PS5 upgrade at no extra cost. The new Legacy of the Giant-Kings story arc is included. Push Square reports the same announcement and says in its headline that the upgrade is free for existing players. Push Square also notes that Conan Exiles Enhanced first released on PC earlier in 2026.

One catch: Funcom confirmed that Isle of Siptah remains a separate purchase. The smoother transition between maps helps players who already own the expansion, but the upgrade does not hand it out for free.

Aloft is developed by Astrolabe and published by Funcom. Funcom’s post confirms the PS5 version includes every update released during PC Early Access plus the full 1.0 experience. Aloft has received five major content updates since Early Access began, per Funcom. PlayStation LifeStyle reports that the PS5 launch is set to coincide with the full 1.0 release on PC, so console players will not be waiting on a later port of the finished game.

What we don’t know yet

Neither game has an exact release date. Every outlet covering the announcement, including PlayStation LifeStyle and Push Square, lists only “early 2027.”

Pricing is also unannounced. PlayStation LifeStyle reports that no pricing, editions or exact release date have been shared for Aloft. Funcom has not given a price for Conan Exiles Enhanced as a standalone purchase for players who do not own the PS4 version either.

Funcom has also not detailed resolution targets, frame rate modes or PS5 Pro support for either game. The “performance improvements” line for Conan Exiles Enhanced is all the official material says on that front, so we will not guess at specifics.

What it means

If you already own Conan Exiles on PS4, this is a straightforward win. You get a visually upgraded PS5 version and a new story arc without paying again, based on what Funcom confirmed. Budget separately only if you want Isle of Siptah and do not already have it.

For Aloft, the timing matters. Launching on PS5 alongside the PC 1.0 release means PlayStation players should get the complete version from day one, with five major updates’ worth of Early Access content already folded in.

Both games sit in the same vague early 2027 window, so expect firmer dates closer to launch. We will update once Funcom shares release dates, pricing and edition details.
